Learning Artifact #4

For the past several weeks, I learned to describe the location of specific objects. Here is a write-up i did to describe the campus and several locations at our school.

리치몬드 대학교는 커요. 그리고 예뻐요.

제 기숙사는 도서관 옆에 있어요.

도서관 앞에는 Commons가 있어요.

Commons 안에는 서점이 있어요.

학교 식당은 Commons 앞에 있어요.

학교 식당 음식은 맛있어요. 그리고 많아요.

  • I really like this exercise you did using Korean. I think describing locations is really important and very hard in Korean since it is very different from the way English phrases it. It is also very useful if you are going to potentially visit Korea and ask around for directions. Good job!

  • Great job Yixi! I struggled with the different sentence structures we can use to say the same thing, but you used both very well. The particles have also been hard to understand, especially using 는/는 vs. 이/가 and it's good to see after going over it several times with Lena, it looks like you've got it! I think it's super helpful to know how to describe where things are on campus because we can apply the same structures to any setting we are in.
