Journal Entry 3 - SDLC 105 - Rein

One of the nice things about Persian, as far as I know, is that because it is an Indo-European language, many of the grammatical features are similar to languages with which I am more familiar, like Latin, German, or English. Many of the reference grammars for Persian explicitly use Latin nomenclature and terminology in reference to Persian. While obviously a god reference grammar will be necessary, I feel pretty confidant that I can get a grasp for Persian’s basic grammatical structures by comparison with Latin and Arabic and with some quality spent working with a language partner (if I ever get one).
