My main goal was clear: to create well-structured, grammatically correct sentences in Hangul during this semester. With this objective in mind, I began exploring and practicing different strategies to improve my understanding and skills throughout the last month.
I started with consistent practice this past month, beginning with simple sentences and gradually moving to more complex ones. This step-by-step approach helped me understand Hangul grammar rules and gain confidence in forming sentences. I also used various resources, like online tutorials and textbooks, to learn more about Hangul grammar. These tools provided clear explanations and good examples that made learning easier.
Additionally, I practiced with native speakers like my language partner through language exchange. Therefore, I can exchange what I learnt in-time. These conversations gave me real-life context and valuable feedback from fluent speakers.
Throughout this process, I felt a range of emotions—from excitement over my progress to frustration with difficult grammar concepts. However, these experiences only strengthened my determination to master Hangul. I also realized how important it was to understand the cultural nuances within the language. Concepts like honorifics and politeness levels were essential to learning Hangul, and they encouraged me to explore the cultural background of the language more deeply.
In assessing my progress, I celebrated achievements like forming complex sentences with language partners. But I also noticed areas that needed work, particularly with certain grammar rules.
Looking ahead, I’m determined to keep improving by practicing sentence writing and finding new learning resources. I hope to enhance my grammar skills, expand my vocabulary, and deepen my appreciation for the rich culture behind the language.
