Hello!
While trying to set up Mango Languages, I ran into a Flash error which I am working on resolving, but this looks like a great resource to practice conversational Hindi. Diigo is a great way to bookmark helpful resources that I've come across and I am already using it to keep a list of helpful links. BYKI on the other hand seems to only be accessible by Windows users and I wasn't able to use it on my personal laptop.
This past Monday, I had my first meeting with my language instructor, during which we introduced ourselves in Hindi over a cup of chai. Given that it has been a long time since I had had an extended conversation in Hindi, it was a bit difficult to continue the conversation. With the encouragement of my language partner, I kept going on and felt a little more comfortable with my speaking ability by the end of our meeting. I used this session to focus on greetings, introductions and farewell. I also got the chance to know about my language partner's background and experiences with Hindi and this was a great first lesson. Interestingly, my language partner's mother is a professor of Hindi!
I hope to use our next meeting to talk about the alphabet and to master my pronunciation of the more complex alphabets.

Glad to hear you've started meeting with Atul, Shiv! The fact that you've already had some conversation experience in Hindi will help you immensely. I had no idea that Atul's mother is a professor of Hindi. That's so cool! Has Atul passed along recommendations for exercises, textbooks, or materials from his mother?
Flash errors are always a bit of a headache. The latest version of Flash is installed on all of the Global Studio computers, if you'd prefer to complete your work in INTC 226. This is something that I'll announce later today, but I would recommend that you and Atul also consider EdPuzzle. I'll give a brief demonstration in class.
