I scored novice high in interpersonal communication. My goal is to hold conversation with fluent Korean speakers and receiving feedback on pronunciation, grammar, and fluency.
Interpretive Listening
I scored intermediate. I think I’ll work on listening to Korean audiobooks on a topic of interesting repeatedly to improve my listening comprehension skills.

My goal this semester is to read and write a summary of a Korean book. I will learn by repeatedly and also looking up definition or phrases I have difficult understanding. I also think I can measure how well

This semester for presentational speaking my goal is present to my language partner about a topic such as my dream vacation destination.
Presentational Writing
My goal is to be able to write about to write a summary of the Korean audiobook I’m listening to. I will learn by repeatedly and also looking up definition or phrases I have difficulty understanding.
What is your ultimate goal? What is your goal for this semester?
What do you want to be able to do with this language at the end of this semester and in the future?
My ultimate goal is to learn Korean and Korean culture through film and kdramas,
Also I want to be able to have uninterrupted conversation with someone for 10 minutes and more. So specifically focusing on pronunciation, and using vocabulary fluently.
What tasks will you complete and what activities will you do this semester to meet your goals? How will you document and evaluate your progress?

Be as specific as possible when planning activities, e.g., “I will watch YouTube videos to learn how to talk about the family.” or “I will consult a grammar text to learn about possessives.” Make sure you include some tasks that are relevant to your interests, e.g., “I will learn to understand soccer commentary.” or “I will learn to talk about the stock market.” Culture and language are, of course, inseparable. Task 1 To hold a 10 minute conversation describing a movie plot

What do I need to learn to complete this task? (goal) To watch a Korean movie without subtitles.
How will I learn? (learning activities and resources) I will learn by first watching the movie or kdrama with subtitles and then without.
How will I document what I have learned? (artifacts) I will record voice notes of me explaining the plot and listen back on them to see if there is improvement.
How well can I accomplish this task? (self-assessment) Some benchmarks for if I can accomplish this task would be to talk or text someone who is fluent in Korean and describe the plot of the movie to them and to be able to have a full conversation with them.
Task 2 To read and write a summary of a Korean book

How will I learn? (learning activities and resources) I will learn by reading a Korean book (I still need to ask my Dad if I can borrow one of his Korean books but he has many)
How will I document what I have learned? (artifacts) I will document what I learn by writing a couple sentences down about what I have read.
How well can I accomplish this task? (self-assessment) At the end, I will comply my writings into one summary and share it with a fluent speaker to look over my writing.

How will I document what I have learned? (artifacts) I will record conversations and voice memos to track pronunciation and fluency.
How well can I accomplish this task? (self-assessment) I will receive feedback from the native speaker on pronunciation, grammar, and fluency.
