I am writing on your comment Wall in regards to your first cultural post, posted on January 26th. There was no opportunity to reply to your comments there, so I thought I add my thoughts here.
First off, thank you for sharing such an appetizing post. I feel like I should go whip up some chicken piri-piri right now! I thought your last paragraph was very insightful about how food is not necessarily "overlooked", but its appreciation may not be fully taken into account. This past winter, my family and I traveled to Peurto Rico and we all were clear in our goal to try as many traditional foods and expand our pallet. As you said, the traditional meals and their recipes will tell visitors a lot about the history as well as the lifestyle of said culture. Thanks for sharing.
