he Cherry Blossom Festival is known in many different countries, such as Japan and even in the United States. Though research, I also found out that this festival is pretty popular in South Korea as well, especially during the Spring time, which is when I will be studying abroad there! Cherry blossoms are usually expected to bloom in late-March to mid-April, with the latter time being the bloom time in Seoul, where I will be staying. In Seoul, it is called the Yeouido Cherry Blossom Festival and is located near the Han River. Some of the activities that are provided at this festival include the following: street performances, fairs, and even ferry cruises. It’s a good thing that I am learning how to use the subway because apparently it’s the most cost-efficient way to attend the festival. I can’t wait to have my first Cherry Blossom Festival Experience in South Korea in the Spring!
