  • I appreciated seeing the podcast recording that you and Mallory did together with your language partner, as this is what Mehreen and I will be doing with our language partner, Melisa, for our podcast interview as well. Building a community of language learners is important because you both gain shared experiences, and you also have someone to practice with and hold you accountable when you continue to learn on your own. It was also really refreshing to hear some of Jannette's own realizations throughout about her teaching style and what she had never tried before or could be improved since Melisa also shared this with us last semester. This is definitely a learning experience for everyone involved, but I'm glad to hear that your experience went well this semester.

  • I thought it was interesting that you used the mouth diagram for vowels. I study Turkish, which also has vowels not found in English. Although I am still not very good at these non-English vowels, I feel that I am making progress. If it would help, I would recommend looking up a conversion chart for Korean to IPA and then using this website to identify where to make those particular sounds. https://www.ipachart.com/
