My goal mainly focuses on relearning Korean from a foreign language learner’s perspective.
First of all, I need to study with some Korean textbooks from beginner levels to advanced levels. This has to be focused on not only concepts themselves but also how “I” would explain to others. I will keep organizing possible mistakes and confusing concepts and their explanations.
Second, I will make a list of books in Korean that would help people get themselves used to Korean language and the culture. This could be famous kids’ books and Korean fairy tales. Also, globally-famous books, for example, Cinderella, Pinocchio, Alice in Wonderland, etc., would be helpful for them because they can guess meanings of words they don’t know from the context that they already know. My goal is to organize expressions and words that are often used but can be confusing in a document form so that I can access it easily and get it updated.
Since I do not know what specific field I would happen to learn, this is a tentative plan so far, but I will keep this plan up-to-date on Ning blog. I have met my partner Rachel, and we talked about my goal and specific plans to make them concrete, which she commented that it is such a decent plan that she want it to work out well. We also planned to visit Global Studio to borrow some Korean textbooks for me to begin with.
