Learning Journal #2:

In the chapters we read, there were many interesting points regarding how the brain processes languages that we learn. There are many parts of the brain that work together in the language-aquisition process, therefore it is important to use many types of learning when trying to effectively learn a language. There are many steps involved in language learning. Another point in the article that I thought was particularly important was how sometimes when learning a language, you should not try to break sentences or parts of sentences down into pieces because the meaning could be lost or changed. In order to overcome this learning challenge, I think it is effective to listen to people speaking turkish in songs, video clips, etc. By learning what whole sentences mean, we will then be able to grasp certain words from the whole.
