On March 10, the second part of “The Glory” came out. So we watched this drama during our weekly meetings. This drama was so intriguing we watched through the episodes really fast.   During this second part, there is a murder that happens which makes the drama very mysterious. Also, it revealed the past murders that were committed by the main bully YeonJin. The body of the girl has been frozen for a couple of years in hopes to solve her unfair situation. The most recent murder of one of the bullies named Myeong Oh opened up the chance for the girl’s unfair murder to get revealed. Along with the main character, Dong Eun trying to reveal the wrongdoings of YeonJin, it also shows the corruption of power that the rich have in society. YeonJin was born in a very rich family who had connections with the police. The police were able to cover up her past crimes of murder. This makes me sometimes scared of how much corruption there is in society and reflect how this could be what really happens in our society as well.

During this second part of the drama Yeonjin gets revealed for all the past crimes she has committed. She gets exposed at her work for a school bully and the drama shows how reputation in the public matters so much. The rumor about her being involved with a school bully ruined her perfect career as a weather reporter. Something I am scared about in Korean society is this very scene. It seems like a society that judges and criticizes a lot. There is also a lot of competition to the point where people would do anything to bring you down from the line. So one negative image or a flaw revealed in social media could really impact your life. Similar things have been happening to Kpop idols along with political leaders who are running in the elections.

Something that I would like to comment about Dong Eun’s strategy was that she used her bullies to take down each other. She would put Sara in a position where she got put into prison for using drugs. However, that's where she was able to plant suspicion about her trust and friendship with her other bully friends. This makes Sara reveal facts about the other bullies which really put them in trouble.

In the end, Dong Eun was able to successfully finish her revenge on the 5 bullies. This whole drama taught me a moral lesson where you should confess or repent for the bad things that you did earlier. Trying to hide something only snowballs into something big and you will be anxious trying to hide that from others. If it gets revealed later it will only lead with bigger consequences.

Usually, I am unsatisfied with the endings to Korean dramas because of how cringy they turn out to be. However, this drama was very interesting where it seemed like the story would continue with her helping another person’s revenge.
