Journal #2

These past two weeks, we have focused on the numerical system.  Thalia briefly went over this during SDLC 110, but Bu Julie required us to do a little bit more.  We had to learn the vocabulary for the numerical system up to a trillion.  She also taught us the correct way to recite numbered street addresses, telephone numbers, and decimals.  During our classes, Bu Julie would ask us our phone numbers, what year we were born in, how old we will be fifteen years from now, and how many people are on campus.  This applied learning method integrated vocabulary into our conversations.  This was difficult, but once I got the hang of it, I started to respond quickly and with fewer mistakes.
