For my cultural project, I decided to make my presentation about Korean Weddings. I chose this topic based on my interest in my own grandparent's Korean wedding. Two of my uncles also had a traditional Korean wedding while my mother, her sister, and youngest brother decided otherwise. My sister is getting married next year so I thought it would be a great chance to learn about the Korean traditions and possibly encourage her to incorporate aspects of a Korean wedding in her own. I also like this topic for the additional things I will learn like Korean dating and proposals, Korean traditional wedding food, and Korean formal clothing attire. I would also be learning more family oriented words like father-in-law, sister-in-law, etc. I am interested to see what music they use in the ceremony and what happens at the typical reception. I would like to observe and compare the difference between a Korean and American wedding.
