If I had to decide whether Pakistan is a monochronic culture or a polychronic culture, I would definitely pick the latter. Pakistanis believe that several things can be done at once. They take a more flexible approach when scheduling time.

Pakistanis are less focused on the preciseness of accounting for every second. They focus more on the experience of the moment and relationships that are being cultivated. They have no problems with being late for an event. It is actually expected. If a person invites someone over for dinner at 6pm, the host won't expect the guests to come till 6:30pm or later. Pakistanis have a less formal perception of time.

Polychronic cultures put great emphasis on relationships. The attitude is consistent with a collectivist viewpoint. Pakistanis are more attuned to the needs of others. They are also more in touch with their internal clock. Deadlines and meetings are approximations. People are also never too busy. One's relationship is always put on top and everyone supposedly has all the time in the world.
