In America, time is very important. "Time is Money". Time is important in the social world and even more important in the business world. Americans do everything around the clock and it is very rare that time doesn't matter. To "be on time" usually means to be within 5 or 10 minutes of the given time. In Afghanistan, the sun and the moon are important aspects of time. As a predominantly Islamic country, time is often centered around the five daily prayers. In general, time is a much more relaxed concept than it is in America.
