Korean drama and entertainment industry have become a booming industry and an integral part of Koreans culture. 10 years ago, when people mentioned Korea, many people would not have thought about Kpop or Kdrama. Nowadays, however, the first thing that comes to peoples mind is Kpop. This may have started with the popularity of Gangnam Style by Psy or the recent popularity of BTS, but it is undeniably a big part of Koreas culture. In fact, with BTS being the first Korean group to be invited to the AMAs, Kpop has grown even larger. You can see this impact in Korea too. Walking down the streets, you will be bombarded by Kpop everywhere. Kpop and Kdrama celebrity posters seems to be posted everywhere and there are even shops that specialize in selling fan items of the celebrities. This Korean entertainment industry boom has become so big that they even have a term for it now. It has been termed Hallyu, which literally means flow of Korea.
