There doesn't seem to be a set culture for Korean society's attitude towards time. Some people meet for social gatherings rather late, showing up an hour later than the intended time. However, others seem to be rather punctual or close to being punctual.
In the Korean business world, however, punctuality is extremely necessary. In the formal setting, the utmost respect must be shown to each party, so punctuality is a sign of respect as to respect one's time.
