Today we went over my learning plans/goals. We specifically went over what kinds of activities we want to do to achieve the goals I had set out. One of my main goals were to learn more formalities and formal language. Another goal is to work on my sentence structure and expanding my vocabulary overall. My last major goal was to become a faster reader. I am able to read Korean, however, I am not fast at it and can become tongue-twisted often. Therefore, I am hoping to read articles, comics, short novels, etc. in Korean and gradually become more fluent at reading. The week after we started working on formal language. I learned how to address my grandparents in a respectful way and realized that I have been talking to them rudely this whole time. I also learned rules and formalities that I must do when talking to someone who is older than me or is my boss. There were a lot more rules than I had originally thought, so I had some trouble remembering them during the lessons. Evelyn tried testing me at the end of the tutoring sessions, however, I ended up only remembering about 40% of the information. I told her next class that I would have it down and memorized.
